Nuclear weapons endanger the future of our species along with all other forms of life. More than 20,000 nuclear weapons remain in the arsenals of nine nuclear weapon states. The only safe and stable number of nuclear weapons on the planet is zero. Achieving zero will require political will and a shift in our thinking driven by strong public support.
